V. Research Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Introduction of Qilu Culture
Morning: Arrive at Zhoucun, Zibo by the high-speed railway and check into ZhiWeizhai Hotel. Have a research tour presentation meeting.
Lunch: Welcome Lunch.
Afternoon: Visit the Qi Culture Museum to learn about the history, culture, and art of the Qi State and experience the profoundness of Qi Culture. Try ancient Cuju and rubbings of calligraphy and paintings.
Dinner: Enjoy Zibo - style barbecue to experience the local food culture.
Day 2: Inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage Handicrafts
Morning: Visit Shandong Vocational College of Light Industry and experience ceramic kneading and embroidery techniques.
Lunch: Have Zhoucun Special-Duan's Cooked Pot.
Afternoon: Visit Zibo Hairun Silk Study Tour Base and choose one of the handicraft creation projects, either tie-dyeing or marbling on silk scarves.
Dinner: Have Shangbu-style cuisine at ZhiWeizhai.
Evening: Admire the night view of Zhoucun Ancient Commercial City to understand the history of commercial port culture and feel the charm of the ancient city.
Day 3: Immersion in Confucian Culture
Morning:Experience the activity of wearing Hanfu and performing the ceremony of acknowledging someone as one's master, and conduct immersive etiquette learning.
Lunch: Have Qufu Special-Kong Family Banquet.
Afternoon: Tour the Three Confucian Sites (Confucius Temple, Confucius Mansion, and Confucius Forest) to learn about Confucius'life and experience the profound heritage of Confucian culture. Then take a bus to Tai'an and check into Mount Tai Hotel.
Dinner: Have a group meal of Shandong style scallion-wrapped pancakes.
Day 4: Embracing the Spirit of Mount Tai
Morning: Tour Mount Tai. You can either take a cable car or hike up the mountain to appreciate the magnificent scenery of Mount Tai and experience the unyielding spirit of the Chinese nation.
Lunch: Have a simple meal on the mountain top (at your own expense).
Afternoon: Go to Tai'an High-Speed Railway Station for departure, marking the end of the research tour.
VI. Precautions
1. Students who have dietary taboos (such as allergies, religious dietary requirements, etc.) should inform the college in advance so that the catering can be arranged reasonably.
2. The college will uniformly arrange and cover the costs of accommodation, three meals a day, urban transportation, and entrance tickets during the project.
3. Personal shopping and other expenses during the study tour are at the students' own expense.
4. If there are requests beyond the college's unified arrangement standards (such as upgrading accommodation, special transportation needs,etc.), students should explain in advance. The college will assist with the reservation, and the relevant costs will be borne by the students.
